My recent comment ''attack'' was towards a young father. A comment made specifically for him. According to the status updates, he had posted some apparent upsetting news to his Facebook claiming that he had walked in on his ex with some other bloke in bed with her. Now, he and his ex have a gorgeous looking son together but the relationship is, well, you see where this is going.
This is how I responded to his post and the ex decided to have her input. It makes me 'lol'.
Shortly after, another friend attempted to share their input. Making abso-fuckin-lutely no sense.
In the end, you have to bow out and tie the end off with the truth.
Some kids aren't old enough to be having kids. It's hard being a single mother/father. I understand. And with a lot of people having "surprise" babies, It's unsettling to see them in such a struggle, not only with money but relationships as well.
A lot of us have grown up on some form of government assistance. I don't want to be going through that to ensure my child is fed/clothed/homed.
I personally, am glad that I'm married and will be waiting a few years, before I bring a child into this world. My opinion on parenting, ensure the child has a proper upbringing with an unbroken family. That requires a home (preferably owned) and stable well-earning careers.
Facebook has become a new battle ground for childish behavior. Some kids just need to bloody grow up. Please be advised that this blog is a personal opinion and is not directed at any of the lovely ladies with children I know ^^ you are all wonderful parents.

ReplyDeleteI agree, it is sad that these people feel the need to act 'trashy". I might also point out here that no i dont care if I offend people. You are responsible for a human being.
ReplyDeleteThe other day my partner came home from his brothers house to tell me about a couple he met.
They came to the brothers house and told everyone there that they jut came back from the casino, leaving thier 2 wk old in the car for 4 hours. yes that is right 4 hours that child was left alone in a car. It was at night of course, so when they arrived to the brothers house they again left this baby in the car for another half hour alone. WHY HAVE A BABY! This made me so angry. I was told this a few wks ago and im still angry about it. I also know people who are like the above facebook postings. It just amazes and disgusts me. I have no issue in saying that. Being a good parent is actually BEING a parent! not a parent when you feel like it.

ReplyDeleteTo the Anon who wrote the above post. Home ownership is my preferred opinion. I never said it should be a prerequisite.
Also, to the second Anon - Anyone who leaves a child in the car to gamble, should be shot. I could not agree more.
